Join WASRG on Tuesday, August 30 at 2:00 PM EST for an on-the-ground update from the Sunflower State with Natalie Bright and Marlee Carpenter of Bright & Carpenter Consulting, Inc.

Natalie and Marlee have almost 50 years of combined experience lobbying in Kansas as well as extensive experience in public relations within the Kansas governmental arena. Bright & Carpenter Consulting was formed in 2008 and specializes working with Kansas businesses, municipalities and associations to represent their interests before the legislative and executive branches of government as well as regulatory agencies.

Natalie Bright has a joint degree in business administration and political science from the University of California-Riverside. She received her law degree from Washburn School of Law in 1998 and began lobbying for the Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the 1998 Legislative Session. Bright left the State Chamber in 1999 when she relocated to the Wichita area and began working as a contract lobbyist.

Marlee Carpenter graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history from Wichita State University and received her law degree from Washburn School of Law in 1999. After graduation, she took a government affairs position with the Kansas Chamber of Commerce. Carpenter left the Chamber in May 2008 to begin work as a contract lobbyist.
